Kinderdijk Custom tour (2-5 hours)

We recommend a morning tour as you will discover the best views of the area! 

Do you wish to skip parts of our special tours, like the visitor windmill or the boattour, to reduce cost or time? Or just pay a short visit to the windmill site with a small group, but with a private guide? If so, a custom tour might be the best option for you.

Every tour includes a personal pick-up and transportation (retour) from Rotterdam by waterbus! 

Some example tours:

The Photography tour can also be done without a visit to the visitor windmill and the boattour. If you wish to add some extra walking, we can extend this tour with a walk over the dikes to show some extra great views over the reedlands. This option would include:

• walk tour around the windmill scenery with unique photography spots
• break with a warm drink & pastry on a local spot
• stop at local biological cheese farm (not on Sundays)
• extra walk over the dikes for other best views
• private guiding service

A short visit with a small group to the site that includes private guiding, a boattour, a short walk to a biological cheesefarm and closure with a local drink & snack.  This option would include:

• welcome at the visitor centre/museum
• boat tour windmill-view from waterways
• stop at local biological cheese farm (not on Sundays)
• end with a drink & snack or pastry
• private guiding service

A Cycling tour with some extra lunchtime. The visit to the visitor windmill can be left out, the stop at the biological cheesefarm can be an optional choice to reduce time (saves 10 minutes). This option would include:

• cycling tour around scenery
• extra hour cycling in ‘the backlands’
• nice lunch break with a drink & food on a local spot
• optional stop at local biological cheese farm (not on Sundays)
• end at the museum/ visitor centre
• private guiding service

What’s recommended for walking tours: good walking shoes, camera, rain clothes/suncap, water bottle.

What’s recommended for cycling tours: a basic cycling condition and some experience, sun and rain protection, water bottle.
